7 Days, 6 Islands, and Lots of Bushwhackers Later…

We islanders are getting into a routine of welcoming guests here to our Caribbean home, and October is starting off with a bang! My dear friend and her boyfriend came to visit us and we had an absolute blast showing them the island ropes. We kicked things of right with a bushwhacker at Mojo’s right after I picked them up at the airport. A bushwhacker is a Virgin Islands specialty with five kinds of liquor, blended into a creamy milkshake. It’s pretty much the best thing ever, and if you get the chance to come visit the Virgin Islands, you must have one.

I took R & H to Mountain Top on a clear day and gave them a tour of the island. We spent a lovely day at Magen’s Bay Beach, as well as plenty of nights playing cards and enjoying each other’s company. Dan got to take Friday off and we all headed to St. John to do some exploring.

Saturday started early with a boat charter trip to the BVI! We headed to Virgin Gorda first to explore The Baths, a huge maze of geological rock formations. Then we headed to lunch on Cooper Island, followed by Snorkeling near Norman Island and finishing the day at the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke. We all had a BLAST and I would definitely take this trip again. After we got back from our big boat day, we bar hopped around Red Hook to show R & H a great last hurrah during their trip to St. Thomas.
