Hurricane Gonzalo is heading past the BVI and the USVI tonight. It was just upgraded from a tropical storm to a category 1 hurricane around 5 pm. The islands of Sint Maarten/St. Martin and Anguilla are getting hit the hardest, as they are right in the center of the storm. We’ve had some rain showers today, but most of the wind and rain is to set in tonight into the early morning hours.

Our friends R and H were here visiting the past week, and flew out this morning, thankfully missing most of this bad weather. We’ve battened down the hatches and will try to stay dry! At least we’ll sleep cool tonight…the thermometer already says it’s 79 inside!
