I’ve lived on a tropical island for a week now, and finally, FINALLY I got to go to the beach. I’ve been bugging Dan since we got here to get to the water, and today was our day. With all the rain we’ve been getting, the sun has been scarce and it hasn’t been easy to get to the ocean. The forecast for today was more rain, so was I ever a happy camper when I woke up to sunshine!
Our Sunday ritual involves coffee and CBS Sunday morning (have I mentioned I’m actually a 74 year old woman deep down inside? Golden Girls forever!). Now Dan is hooked on the show too and we watch it every week. Now that we are in a new timezone, we even get to sleep an extra hour before it comes on! After the show, we got ready and made our way to Hull Bay Beach. This beach is on the north side of the island, one bay west of the popular Magen’s Bay. It’s supposed to be calmer and quieter, and not as crowded. Today we had the beach almost to ourselves.
After the beach we came home, did some Skypeing with all our moms for Mother’s Day, and got some groceries for the week. It only started raining as we were unloading the groceries from the car.
Looking forward to getting lots of writing done next week, and hopefully finding the best island apartment there is 🙂
